Due to COVID-19 we can now offer video appointments with a GP.

If you would like to arrange one of these appointments please call the Scalloway Health Centre and speak to a member of staff.

CORONAVIRUS

If you have coronavirus symptoms, a new persistent cough and/or fever, you know you should stay at home.

Receptionists make the most of patient appointments with GP's and nurses, like all practice staff they are bound by confidentiality, and are asked by doctors to ask patients reasons for their appointment requests. Please help our receptionists help you if they ask you for information when you call.

Community service at the pharmacy:    

From 15th January 2018 community pharmacists will be able to treat the following conditions.

  • Urinary tract infections (uncomplicated) in ladies between the ages of 16 - 65 years.
  • Impetigo

To AskmyGP at the Scalloway Health Centre

A new way to get help from your GP!

 

What is AskmyGP?

It’s our online service where you can seek help from a GP at the Scalloway Health Centre using your smartphone, tablet or computer.

 

With AskmyGP:

You can message anywhere 

You can look forward to a prompt response in working hours

You can let us know when it’s best to get back to you

There’s no need to book ahead

 

New Requests

 

Click this link and takes you through to the askmyGP portal https://my.askmygp.uk/?c=S39087

 

You may need to click 'accept cookies' for it to work.

You can either get NHS self help advice or consult your GP.

 

Registration steps:

 

Click the askmyGP link on your practice website:

Click 'Sign up or login to Consult your GP'

Click Sign up as a new user'

Fill in your details on the registration form and choose a password (use the boxes above it to ensure your password is strong enough)

Tick the box at the bottom to accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) and then Click 'Confirm'

After clicking Confirm, a four digit code will be sent to the email address entered above: Go to your email inbox and locate the email: and then Copy the 4 digit code and paste it in the box on the registration screen and choose Verify email address.

Next, select 'I am asking as a patient' if the account is for you, then enter your DOB, select your Gender and Preferred site and click 'Save'

After that last step you will be fully registered for askmyGP, you can then proceed to submit a request to the practice today if you need to.

E&H Building Contractors Residential development of 32 units at Utnabrake, Upper Scalloway, Shetland, ZE1 0UP.

Works will be commencing as from Monday 22nd March 2021 on the above development till further notice.

Please be aware of site traffic passing the Surgery entrance from the Millbrae junction heading to Upper Scalloway.

Traffic control measures maybe in place when required.

Covid Vaccination
Appointments are being booked for the COVID vaccine by NHS Shetland please do NOT call the Health Centre.
 
It may be a withheld number - but please answer your phone if you can. If we can't get hold of you by phone, don't worry, you will get a letter. But it will just delay your appointment a little.

Check the Healthy Shetland website, local media and the NHS Sheltand Facebook page to see which groups we are calling currently.

If you think you have been missed from the current groups we are calling, please phone 01595 743319 (or ask someone to phone on your behalf) and leave your name and contact telephone numbers so we can call you back.
